Needed to replace interior door. Measured it at 31 and 3/4 wide and 80 long. Went to Lowes. See that everything is 30" 32" 34" etc. Don't think much about it grab a 32" take it home, cut needed holes for hinges/knob and go to install. Goes on hinges perfect but, won't shut. That qtr inch short mattered a lot more than I thought. Checked every other door in the house and all are a qtr inch under the standard size. 29 3/4 instead of 30, etc.
