hole in my bath

I live in a rented property with an unhelpful landlord. I have waited 4 months for the bath to be resealed but have been advised by the letting agent that it quicker to do it myself. I have resealed a bath before. I removed the old, damaged sealant and found that where a pipe goes through the bath lip there is a rusted hole. I cannot remove the bath front to repair the hole. Are there any other options I can do to repair the damage before I reseal?
