Helpful hints for replacing the heating element in my fan oven.

I thought it would be good to document some points. Of course you should always do things correctly, however ... For a Flavel Milano E60... SWITCH THE OVEN OFF and IF YOUR TESTING THINGS MAKE SURE IT IS OFF AGAIN BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYTHING Take a photo of the wiring connections before you take them off. I always do this except when I didn't. The screws may have seized. You may need to either drill a pilot hole and use a screw extractor to remove it or drill the whole screw out. On thisoven the element has threaded holes so no bolts are required. The size of the screws for this oven is 4mm. Check first. Plug in the new element and test it before fitting it. If it's actually the thermostat that isn't working then you now have a spare element. ;0) To avoid having your wife lying on the floor, holding the new element in place, do the following:- screw one screw ( the top one) from inside the oven and put it through the (correct) hole,  and then go round the back and put the other one. Remove the first screw from inside the oven and go round the back and put that in. Any other hints, put in the answers.
